What We Do | Career Center

Career Center promotes confidence and professionalism by providing Dress for Success clients with career guidance, technology skills and support in their job searches. The program offers services and resources that are vital to women entering the workforce, such as an Internet-accessible computer lab with cutting-edge job placement software; job search assistance; résumé and cover-letter-writing lessons; and both interview preparation and mock interviews.

Many of Dress for Success' clients have been negatively affected by the recent job market decline and are seeking new positions; others simply may want to improve and update their portfolios for future employment opportunities.

Career Center staff members work one-on-one with clients. The program also has the support of volunteers who come from varied professional backgrounds including job developers, career specialists and human resources executives.

In order to successfully obtain a job, our clients must learn how best to navigate the job-search process. By teaching our clients to create superior résumés and cover letters, as well as how to hone their interview and technology skills, we can ensure that they feel confident and capable when applying for employment.
