Nora Ephron is a journalist, novelist, playwright, screenwriter and director. Her credits include Heartburn, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You've got Mail and the play Imaginary Friends. She received three Oscar nominations for screenwriting. her books include Crazy Salad, Scribble, Scribble and Heartburn. Her latest book, I feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman, was a number one best seller. Her latest film is Julie & Julia, starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. Her play Love, Loss and What I Wore, written with her sister Delia Ephron, will be produced Off-Broadway in September 2009. Nora lives in New York City.
The Professional Women's Group (PWG) is an international networking association for Dress for Success clients who have recently entered the workforce, some for the first time, to provide support, practical information and inspiration to help women achieve self-defined success in career and in life. It is the first and only employment retention model that moves low-income women towards self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs in relation to work, home and community.

In these tough economic times, many women are forced to tighten their budgets in order to limit spending. Salon services are among the most commonly cut, especially professional hair color. Hot, Rock & Dye Salon in Windsor Connecticut has launched the “No Box Color” campaign to encourage women to continue to get their hair professionally colored, but at a price they can afford.
On the last Wednesday of every month from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM the salon will be offering Paul Mitchell color services for only $15.00. The next one is scheduled for November 25th. This price is an incredible value and also includes a shampoo and blow dry.

Dress for Success Hartford will be benefiting from Hartford's newest networking event, Tiara Tuesdays!
Celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary at Tiara Tuesday on Tuesday 12/1 from 5:00-7:00 at Crush Lounge, located in the Marriott Downtown Hartford. In celebration of one year of Tiara Tuesdays, your attendance will enter you into the Marriott Giveaway for an overnight stay including breakfast at the Marriott Downtown.
A $10.00 donation gets you in the door to network with other professionals. There will be free hors d'oeuvres and one Tiara Tuesday specialty drink included with your entrance fee.

- Have 1:1 interviews with many recruiters from leading edge job search firms, Local NJ/NYC Fortune 100 hiring managers/recruiters, and many representatives from various Fortune 100 organizations across the financial services, insurance, pharmaceutical, technology and many other industries
- Conduct mock interviews and resume reviews with Human Resources professionals from various industries
- Network with a large peer group from many industries and functional backgrounds to improve your professional contacts and impact
The cost is $25 and is payable at the NJ Pink Slip Party site via pay pal, or at the door. All proceeds will benefit Dress for Success Morris County.
