Many women in the Central Florida area aspire to have financial independence and improve the quality of life for their children and families. Please help us make this aspiration possible with a financial contribution to Dress for Success Greater Orlando.

Every Dollar Helps
$25.00 provides hosiery for 10 women
$65.00 provides a complete business outfit
$100.00 sponsor a night for the Professional Women's Group

$500.00 sponsors a rack of new, needed plus-sized suits

For every suit you donate in 2010 - put $1 in the suit pockets - please let the volunteers know when donating your suits. Imagine how your dollars will help to support women in your Central Florida community!

clothing donations

If your company is interested in hosting a suit or clothing drive please contact us at inventory@dressforsuccessgreaterorlando.org before the drive starts to receive more information.

Items to be donated should be in excellent condition (no obvious tears, stains, etc.) and should be cleaned, pressed and on hangers, ready for use. We no longer will accept clothing in bags or boxes - thanks for understanding. Please contribute only those items you would feel comfortable wearing to an interview yourself.

At this time we only need suits in sizes 16 and up. Thank you for your kind donations.

What We Accept:
- Business Suits (Skirts and Pants)
- Separates including Blazers, Skirts, Slacks, and blouses
- New nylons and new bras
- New and nearly new closed toe shoes
- Scarves, Purses, Belts, Jewelry
- Unused cosmetics

We do not Accept:
- Non-interview appropriate attire (sweaters, wool, capris, shorts, mini skirts)
- Suits that are too bright or too dressy (sequins)
- Dresses
- Men's wear
- Used Cosmetics
- Pre-worn undergarments

Accepting Donations:
Donations are accepted on the 1st Saturday of every month at the boutique from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. We apologize, but we are unable to accept donations at the boutique on other days. DONATIONS DAYS WILL BE CANCELLED IF THE 1ST SATURDAY FALLS ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

Dress For Success is no longer accepting donations at Hangers. Please check back for more details as we are developing another great partnership in our community.

guidelines for valuing donations

Donors are given a receipt for their tax records when contributions are made at the boutique or at the Hangers locations. Dress for Success Greater Orlando does not assign value to clothing donations; donors can access the Salvation Army website at http://www.satruck.com/valueguide.asp for guidelines in valuing their donation. Please note that the value of an item could be higher based on it's brand.

It is the general policy of Dress for Success Greater Orlando not to give, sell, trade or otherwise make available donor information, unless required by law, whether the donation be clothing, in-kind or financial.
