 Coffee-mate Is Teaming Up with Dress for Success to Make Every Cup Count
Coffee-mate is donating $50,000 to Dress for Success, and with your help, they might donate even more - up to $150,000! Every time someone enters a few words of encouragement to a Dress for Success client in the Coffee-mate "Confidence Gallery," Coffee-mate will donate another 50 cents towards Dress for Success! What a great way to do something positive and fun.
With a little help from you, Dress for Success Charlotte can earn up to $5,000! Make sure you enter Charlotte, North Carolina, as your city and state, along with your name and note. The affiliate with the most notes will win funds their local program!

UPDATE: Beyond the Boutique 2009 Capacity Building Campaign
 Last week, Dress for Success Charlotte marked the official signing of the five-year lease for our new space at 500-A Clanton Road. In just a few days, the upfit work will begin and over the next few months, the space will be developed into our new boutique and career transformation center. We hope to be celebrating the start of the New Year in our new space!
Beyond the Boutique Update
We're 87% towards our goal of raising $150,000! But we still need your help. Since 2007, Dress for Success Charlotte has given more than 1,000 low-income women the professional attire, career guidance, and, most importantly, the confidence to get and keep a job. The Beyond the Boutique Capacity Building Campaign's goal is to raise $150,000 to meet the growing demand for Dress for Success Charlotte services. Dress for Success Charlotte Receives 2009 Positive Images of Aging Award
Dress for Success Charlotte was recently named a recipient of the 2009 Positive Images of Aging Award by the Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging (SE4A). The award was presented at the SE4A Annual Conference in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 28.
This award was established by SE4A to recognize groups, agencies, or businesses in the private and/or public sector who have, through their efforts, presented a positive image of older adults or individuals whose platform has impacted a large market.

In 2008, Dress for Success Charlotte suited 400 new clients, a 45% increase over 2007, and experienced a 300% increase in Employment Suitings. In addition to suiting services, more than 80% of clients received one-on-one coaching, mentoring and/or participated in interactive group workshops.

Dress for Success Charlotte Teams Up with Food Lion for the Lion Shop & Share Program
Food Lion is making it easy for you to donate to Dress for Success Charlotte. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase can be donated to Dress for Success Charlotte. .
Remember to always use your MVP card when shopping at Food Lion. This program does not interfere with MVP discounts and MVP products do not have to be purchased to participate.

Suits to Self Sufficiency
In 2009, we invite you to sponsor a Dress for Success Charlotte client. This is a great opportunity for individuals, social groups, civic organizations, clubs, etc., to join with Dress for Success Charlotte to help one or more of our women move up and out of poverty and onto a path of self-sufficiency by providing a complete interview appropriate outfit. It’s very easy, and it’s up to you to select which option works best.You can make a direct contribution of $150 for each client you would like help suit or you and/or your group can purchase an outfit for one or more of our clients. If you choose to purchase the outfit, please call Dress for Success Charlotte at 704.525.7706 so we can assign the suit and shoe size needed most.
