What We Do
our mission |   | We are a not for profit organization that is dedicated to providing interview and employment outfits to low-income women who are entering or reentering the workforce.
Our mission is to assist the women in their objective to gain employment and become economically self-sufficient.
We are committed to giving the women a hand-up by providing them with a confidence boost and instilling in each woman our faith that they can succeed in life.

suiting program | | In order to continue to make this program successful, we need YOUR FINANCIAL HELP! In addition to clothing donations, we need funding to support our work. Women come to Dress for Success Billings by referral only, from an ever-increasing number of non-profit agencies in Billings. These include domestic violence and homeless shelters, pre-release centers, rehabilitaion centers, job training centers, public assistance agencies, and churches.
Dress for Success Billings is supported entirely by the generous financial donations of individuals and organizations.
All donated clothing items are given away. Dress for Success Billings does NOT sell anything. Items that we cannot use are given to the women's shelter or other services in our city.
Dress for Success Billings is very proud of our successful suiting program!
As of September 2007, we have suited approximately 3,250 clients and have a 40% return rate for the second suiting!!
During the interview suiting, we assist our clients in selecting an interview appropriate outfit. This includes not only the outfit, but jewelry, makeup, shoes, and other accessories. The client is also offered a complimentary haircut. We have several stylists in Billings that donate their time for our clients. This entire experience gives them the confidence to land their job.
Once the client lands her job, she is allowed to return for an employment suiting. During this suiting, we provide her with several coordinating outfits appropriate for her occupation.
After the client has been employed for 30 days, we invite her back for a 30 day suiting in order to reward her for maintaining employment.
During each of these suitings, a volunteer personal shopper assists the women in selecting their outfits.
